Do the Dip with Hummus 3 Ways
Try classic hummus or a new twist like chocolate with these delicious dips.

Hummus is a great way to add flavor to any wrap or sandwich, but it’s also a great standalone dish as a dip. Dip fruit, veggies, crackers, toasted pita, or whatever you have on hand in this healthy dish that’s perfect for parties, school lunches, and as an anytime snack. Mix it up by playing with different flavor and combinations until you find your favorite.

Traditional Hummus

Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas
1/4 cup chickpea liquid
1-2 lemons, juiced
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 Tbsp tahini
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Combine in food processor, adding the reserved liquid from the can of chickpeas. Add water to thin as necessary. Drizzle olive oil on top and stir before serving.

Chocolate Hummus

Ingredients:

1 can chickpeas
2 tbsp Barlean’s organic coconut oil
4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Maple syrup or agave to taste
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp organic vanilla extract

Almond Garlic Hummus

Directions:
Combine in food processor, adding maple syrup 1 Tbsp at a time and tasting for desired sweetness. Add water to thin as necessary. Top with cacao nibs, coconut flakes, nuts, or powdered sugar.

Ingredients:
1 cup raw almonds, soaked overnight
¼ cup tahini
½ cup lemon juice
½ cup water
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
6 garlic cloves
3 tbsp cumin
½ teaspoon pink Himalayan salt

Directions:
Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth.
